Jack Kirby (born Jacob Kurtzberg; August 28, 1917 – February 6, 1994) was a famous comic book artist. Kirby worked with Joe Simon to create Captain America. In the 1960s he worked at Marvel Comics with Stan Lee. Kirby and Lee created the superhero characters The Fantastic Four, X-Men, and The Hulk. In 1970 Jack Kirby left Marvel for DC Comics.
