Gerald Weissmann (August 7, 1930 – July 10, 2019) was an Austrian-born American physician, editor, and essayist. He was Professor Emeritus and Research Professor of Medicine (Rheumatology) at New York University School of Medicine. He was Editor-in-Chief (2006–16) of The FASEB Journal.

In 1965, Weissmann was one of the discoverers of Liposomes. He was born in Vienna, Austria. Weissmann died on July 10, 2019 in Cambridge, Massachusetts at the age of 88. view more...
