Brian Howard Clough (/klʌf/ kluf; 21 March 1935 – 20 September 2004) was an English footballer turned manager. During his career he was in charge of Hartlepool United, Derby County F.C., Brighton & Hove Albion, Leeds United and most notably Nottingham Forest F.C. He won a lot of trophies, including the European Cup with Nottingham Forest F.C. in 1979 and 1980.
Clough was an alcoholic. He had a liver transplant in 2003. He died of stomach cancer. view more...
