Ora Denise Allen (July 16, 1939 – January 8, 2018), known by the stage name Denise LaSalle, was an American blues and R&B/soul singer-songwriter, and record producer. Since the death of Koko Taylor, had been recognized as the "Queen of the Blues". She was born in Leflore County, Mississippi. She was known for her song "Trapped by a Thing Called Love".

LaSalle died on January 8, 2018 in Jackson, Mississippi of heart disease and complications from a fall at the age of 78. view more...
