Boldo (Peumus boldus) is a kind of tree that can be found in the central part of Chile. It is the only species in the genus Peumus. It is a big part of the sclerophyllous forests found in the central part of Chile. Boldo has also been introduced to Europe and North Africa, though it is not often seen outside botanical gardens.

Its leaves are used for culinary purposes, mostly in Latin America. They have a strong, woody and slightly bitter flavor and camphor-like aroma. They are used in a similar manner to bay leaves and also used as an herbal tea.
