Roentgenium (pronounced /rɛntˈgɛniəm/, /rʌntˈdʒɛniəm/) is a chemical element. It is a transition metal. Its symbol is Rg, and its atomic number is 111.
The element is named in honor of a German physicist Wilhelm Röntgen.
