William Shand (1902 – 1997) was a writer and translator. He was born in Scotland. He lived in Argentina. He wrote poetry. He was also a playwright. He moved to Argentina in 1938. He wrote book reviews for La Nación. He translated poetry by John Donne and Stephen Spender from English into Spanish. He worked with Alberto Girri to put together poetry collections of other poets' works. He was given a Merit Diploma of Translation in 1984 and 1994 by the Konex Foundation.view more...
