The KidzSearch Encyclopedia is based on multiple sources, including Simple English Wikipedia, which is similar to the regular Wikipedia, but written at a level much more appropriate for kids. We currently have over 200,000 articles.

Articles are imported from Wikipedia on a regular basis. KidzSearch editors screen all pages for quality and any inappropriate content. Our editorial staff will also modify articles when necessary to make them more understandable for kids. Another important difference with our wiki is that pages can't be changed by unauthorized staff, so there is no risk of unreviewed inappropriate content ever appearing.
