The G20 (or Group of Twenty) is an international forum for the governments and central bank governors from 19 countries and the European Union (EU). It was founded in 1999. The goal is to coordinate global policy on trade, health climate and other prominent issues as well as promoting international financial stability.
Together, the nations of the G20 account for almost 80% of the global economic output. The figures have remained stable, while the G7 is shrinking.
Since the November 2011 Cannes summit, G20` summits have been held annually.
